I was made redundant shortly before I joined Plumbs and I decided to start out on my own. Somebody I knew had been working with Plumbs but was giving it up due to ill health; I had helped her out in the past, so I knew how flexible a partnership would be. This was important as I often need time off to attend a college course.
Plumbs products and processes are so well established that it’s easy to slip them into your business. The Head Office team deals with the administrative side of things, and I’m always paid quickly for my work.

Originally we started working with Plumbs in 2001 and produced around 7 sets of loose covers a week for them. Because they paid us so promptly for our work, we have been able to expand and double our capacity and we have also diversified into reupholstery. We have an excellent working relationship with Plumbs and find that their friendly admin team are always on hand to help.

Of the various trade people I have been making loose covers for over the past 20 years, I find Plumbs without doubt the best. They provide as much, or as little work as you can do. I only have to do my job well and take care of customers as well as I would my own
